Teaching about refugees, the webinar organised by Avanguardie educative and UNCHR

“A safe and inclusive learning space” is the title of the new year’s first appointment with the initiative “Training and exchange with Avanguardie educative”. The webinar will take place on Monday 18 January at the UN Refugee Agency.

“Teaching about the refugees’ issue” is a kit of didactic material on refugees seeking asylum and migrations, created and developed by UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, in collaboration with the schools.

Didactic materials are conceived to help teachers and students understand better the migration phenomenon in its complexity, while at the same time promote fact-based teaching by providing primary and secondary school teachers some useful indications to work with child refugees and asylum seekers participating in their classes. It is a tool kit for civic education to deepen migration and world citizenship issues, in line with the objective of the 2030 Agenda.

Speakers:

Elisabetta Mughini (Indire)
Marta D’Agosto (UNCHR)
