Enrolment to Rome’s Maker Fair has opened!

From 1 to 3 December, “Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition” comes back to Rome. The Fair is dedicated to technological DIY and digital artisans.

In its 5th year, the event gathers together makers and enthusiasts to get in touch with, experiment and share ideas and projects in the scientific, technological, biomedical, and artistic fields, and themes related to digital manufacture, food, climate, mobility and robotics.

The event in Rome is the European version of the Maker Fair, created in 2006 in San Francisco, which in the last years has triggered off a vast world network of events, aiming at promoting dialogue and innovation among the actors involved in digital making.

All European upper secondary schools can participate to the Fair. Schools can apply until the 20 October by submitting one or more projects which will be examined by a panel of experts, selected by Innova Camera, promoter of the event. In 2016 there were more than 300 projects, submitted by 274 schools (68 were foreign schools) for a total of 57 stands.
