10 million Euros allocated to Higher Technical Institutes 4.0 to form the professionals of the future

10 million Euros are on their way to enhancing Higher Technical Institutes 4.0 and the other institutes designed to form the professionals of the future, in the areas of technological innovation and organisation. The fund was allocated by the decree signed on 16 May by The Minister of  Education, Universities and Research, Valeria Fedeli.

The public funding foreseen in the latest Budget Law places Higher Technical Institutes at the centre of a real development plan leading to the increase of courses for the enhancement of highly specialised competences in high-demand sectors. Funding will be allocated to the Higher Technical Institutes which have already been assigned reward funds, after the quality evaluation carried out in 2017 and 2018, and will allow 2,000 more students to undertake the new study paths.

«The decree signed today not only allocates important resources but also turns a new page in the future of our country – The Minister Valeria Fedeli declared –  The Higher Technical Institutes have demonstrated to be an important part of our training system because of their quality which provides high employment rate. Thanks to the funding for the enhancement of the 4.0 sector, Higher Technical Institutes will play a central role in providing competences increasingly in demand in the global market».

«Five year ago, when we started, post high school training didn’t even exist, now is a reality which offers youths great chances – The Deputy secretary Gabriele Toccafondi commented –  The results obtained along this path prompt us to invest more in the sector and in competences for industry 4.0».
