Contribute to Epale’s monthly focus on media literacy

Today, the media grants us access to an unpreceded amount of information and influences many aspects of our personal and social life. The contemporary technological scenario that allows and fuels many-to-many communication,  enables increasing media interaction and expression of opinions also on high level political decisions that influence the public opinion.  From an educational perspective, this makes it necessary to adopt specific strategies to train adults for media usage, interpretation and interaction. Media literacy boosts critical thinking and allows the creation of critical consumers of products and information.

Epale dedicates the entire month of August to media literacy, not only with resources and experiences from all over Europe, but also with a live discussion, taking place on 27 September starting from 9 am, that will enable the sharing of visions and perspectives with adult education experts and other members of the platform.

Epale Italy aims to collect and enhance national experiences, therefore it invites you to join EPALE and share contents on adult media literacy.
