On next 18 June the Epale unit organises the interregional seminar “Strengthening soft skills through arts” in Naples (Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, Biblioteca di Area Umanistica, piazza Bellini 56).

We will talk about art and craft as effective means of increasing transversal skills in adult learning courses aimed at low-skilled people and other vulnerable groups (older workers, third-country nationals, prisoners, etc.).

The event, created in collaboration with the Campania regional school office and regional Epale ambassadors is organised into theoretical and practical sessions and is going to involve teachers, artists partecipating in the projects with the learners and associations for social promotion.

Experiences relating to very different contexts including Cooperativa Lazzarelle, that since 2010 has been producing artisan coffee in the female prison of Pozzuoli and the Associazione l’Albero delle storie, that has been working for many years in Scampia with recovery activities for abandoned and run-down urban areas. The event will be accompanied by artistic performances and the exhibition of the products realised through the projects.

To conclude, there will be the performance of the singer-songwriter Maldestro.
