Assistants of foreign languages in Italy, the orienteering seminar in Rome

On 18 and 19 November, the seminar for orienteering and training of foreign language assistants in Italy, an occasion for pedagogical reflection and sharing of didactic practices on foreign language teaching, is scheduled in Rome.

Thanks to governmental agreements on curricula, the foreign language assistants coming from Austria; Belgium, France, Ireland, Germany, UK and Spain, are already in service in many Italian schools, flanking language teachers for 12 hours a week. This meeting is an occasion of knowledge creation and orientation for their inclusion in Italian schools.

The thematic workshops, cured by Italian teachers, will provide information and methodological support to teachers for didactic activities for the teaching of foreign languages.

Besides the programme for Italian language assistants abroad, from this year Indire manages, in collaboration with the Miur, the programme of European cooperation of foreign language assistants in Italian schools.
