Microsoft Edu Day on 17 May in Milan. Free registration!

On Thursday 17 May from 9 am to 6 pm Microsoft organises in  Milan (viale Pasubio 21) a large free event addressed to teachers, school leaders and university researchers.

During the Microsoft Edu Day, international guests will carry out activities and debates on new technologies conceived for the world of school with the aim of exploring the new digital frontiers of Education.

The main activities of the day are:

  • Educating to the future, a plenary session with international guests from the world of education, school, university and research, with contributions on the innovative experiences which are revolutionising teaching and learning methods and on the tools offered by digital tools for education and research.
  • Debates and workshops will delve into digital competences and provide the chance to familiarise with cutting-edge tools: coding lessons, collaborative tools, Minecraft Education Edition, debates on the potentials of new technologies on the themes of digital citizenship, learning difficulties, inclusion, and immersive education.
  • The digital park will be an experiential area dedicated to sharing best practices. It will be possible to experience the connection between teaching, digital innovation and the maker world, visit stands, participate in the activities of the FabLab, find out about projects, become protagonists of the most current trends in technology education, from tinkering to robotics, surrounded by cutting edge proposals such as Microsoft HoloLens and Hack the Classroom. Moreover, this area is going to host also innovative projects by schools and students.

The Edu Day, now at its third edition, is the largest Microsofr event dedicated to the world of school, university and research. It is realised in partnership with the Lombardy Regional School Department as part of the initiatives under the umbrella of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Miur and dedicated to the digitalisation of schools and the dissemination of digital culture in Italy.
