Enrolment has opened for Fair Didacta Italy 2018

Enrolment has opened for Fair Didacta Italy 2018, the most relevant international education trade fair taking place from the 18 to the 20 October in the da Basso Fortress, in Florence. The event is addressed to teachers headmasters, tutors, trainers, practitioners and entrepreneurs operating in the school and technology sectors, and was included by the Miur in the multiannual plan for teacher training.

This year there are more than 150 workshops ranging from educational model innovation, robotics, 3D printers, music education and CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) to the use of technology at school. The event has a rich scientific programme including immersive workshops, debates and conferences, coordinated and organised by Indire, that this year avails itself of the collaboration of a scientific committee consisting of CNR, Innocenti Institute, CRUI, The Italian Publishers Association and Reggio Children.

The scientific programme is organised into different educational stages to guide teachers through the educational offer, according to their interests and the educational level they teach.  For the first time this year, there is a 0-6 section including a series of immersive workshops addressed to the little ones, and a section dedicated to hotel management schools with lessons, cooking shows and laboratory activities. There will be also events dedicated to tourism marketing/web marketing, the technological evolution of the reception sector, the management and organisation of an enogastronomic event, revenue management and software for the sector. Also in this second edition of the fair, IUL online university is the technical partner providing a blended educational offer which foresees in person participation in the fair seminars and online activities on the university platform. in the congress hall, during the three-day event, there will be also relevant national conventions on themes concerning Erasmus+, eTwining, Educational Avant-garde and Small Schools. Participation to these activities is open to all. However, we suggest advanced registration upon ticket purchase.

The immersive workshops on hotel management are included in teacher in-service training. Enrolment is limited therefore reservation is compulsory.

Fair Didacta Italy is organised by Florence Fair together with the main institutions of the territory (Tuscany Region, Florence City Council, Florence Chamber of Commerce) and Didacta International, with the support of the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Germany (Itkam) and Florence Convention & Visitors Bureau. Fair Didacta Italy is sponsored by the Miur; the European Policy Department of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers; the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Italy; the Italo-German Centre Villa Vigoni; Unioncamere, the Italian Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Handicrafts, and Agriculture; and Assocamerestero, the Association of Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad.

Indire, the National Institute for Documentation, Innovation and Educational Research is the scientific partner of Fair Didacta Italy and the organiser of the events. The online university IUL is the technical partner of the event.
