2) Inquiry-Based Teaching in Life Sciences

The course is entirely dedicated to Inquiry-Based Science Education (IBSE) method, that is, science learning through inquiry. This is a didactic approach designed to stimulate curiosity and motivation in adults through questions, making them feel protagonists and responsible of their development process. On the other hand, it gives teachers the possibility of creating a flexible and less structured learning environment. The course aims to provide participants with a series of resources useful to implement the following structure: in the first part they will play the part of adult learners and then they will gain the tools necessary to put into practice the inquiry method and integrate it in everyday teaching.

  • Target audience: teachers of sciences of secondary education
