The portal for sustainable development education is born

Are you a teacher in the Italian school? Scuola2030.indire.it, has just opened for you! The portal offers self- training materials, contents and resources to deliver education inspired by the values and the ideas of the Agenda 2030.

The agenda for sustainable development 2030 is a development programme signed by 193 UN member states in 2015. Italy like many other countries has put in place its own national strategy including specific commitments and objectives relating to the 17 SDG, Sustainable Development Goals foreseen by the Agenda 2030.

In Italy, ASviS – Italian alliance for sustainable development is the promoter of the Agenda 2030 with the aim of enhancing the awareness of the importance of the programme in Italian society, raising public awareness and involve all the citizens starting from students through the schools and the initiatives of sustainable development education.

School 2030 is born out of the collaboration between Miur, Indire and ASviS to contribute to Goal 4: Quality education, and in particular, target 4.7: making sure that by 2030 all students acquire the knowledge and the competences necessary to promote sustainable development through, among other things, education for sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles, human rights, gender equality, the promotion of peace and non-violent culture, global citizenship, valorisation of cultural diversity and the contribution of culture to sustainable development.

The resources of the website Scuola2030.indire.it can be freely consulted and the self-training material is accessible to all teachers through Public Digital Identity System (SPID).
