On 16 March at 2 pm Didacta Fair Italy kicks off. This is the fourth edition of the most awaited national event of the school world. Up to Friday 19 March teachers, educators head teachers, experts and the main companies in the sector will have the opportunity to share ideas to find, together and in synergy, new approaches and innovative solutions to reorganise the Italian school system, in light of the global pandemic.
At the inaugural ceremony, which can be followed via streaming on the my.fieradidacta.it platform, and live on Facebook on the Didacta fair page, after the greetings of the president of Firenze Fiera, Lorenzo Becattini, in the Sala Verde di Villa Vittoria there will be the mayor of Florence, Dario Nardella and the president of the Tuscany Region, Eugenio Giani. There will follow the live online speeches of the Minister of Education, Patrizio Bianchi, Vincenzo Zara representing the Ministry of University and Research, and Theodor Niehaus, president of Didacta Germany. It will then be the turn of the Councillor for Education, University and Research of the Tuscany Region, Alessandra Nardini; Sara Funaro, Councillor for Education and Welfare of the Municipality of Florence. To conclude there will be, the speech of Giovanni Biondi, president of Indire.
The first day of Didacta Italia will continue in live streaming from the Sala Verde of Villa Vittoria, with the Concert of the Galilei Orchestra of the Fiesole Music School (music by Wolfgang Rihm, Arvo Pärt and Ottorino Respighi).
There are 647 events scheduled, 137 of which are training events of the scientific programme and 510 are organised by organizations and companies. It is still possible to participate in the events by registering online.
Among the breakthroughs of this edition, the project Didacta in the classroom with the teachers who, for the first year, will be able to participate with their classes in some of the scheduled events.
Doing, not just trying: new ideas of educational leadership is the free event cured by the head teachers for a virtual meeting with companies, focusing on the new scenarios that are changing the school.
The programme of the first day is extremely rich. The event entitled Safer Internet Center – connected generations starts in the Arena at 5 pm. This presents the guidelines for the positive use of digital technologies, by the Directorate General for students, inclusion and school guidance of the Ministry of Education.
Digital beyond DAD: knowledge, networking and development, scheduled from 6 to 6.50 pm, is the theme of the first day of head teachers’ meetings within the Doing, don’t just trying initiative.
