The Summit “Our Planet, Our Future”, taking place in the English language, is hosted by the Nobel Foundation and organized by the National Academy of Sciences of the United States in collaboration with the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and the Stockholm Resilience Center / Beijer Institute.
Our future depends on the ability to effectively and rationally manage global common goods and on the creation of a sustainable development model that respects biodiversity, contrasts inequalities and promotes technological development. What can be done in the next decade to meet this challenge? What is more, what can we learn from the ongoing health emergency and from the measures implemented globally to combat it? How to distinguish the reality of facts from fake news to create a new information ecosystem?
These are the central themes of the first free online summit that will bring together scientists, politicians and entrepreneurs from 26 to 28 April in a three-day event which, in addition to debates and exchange of ideas, will also host theatrical performances.
