Indire, along with the Avanguardie Educative and the Small Schools Networks, adheres to the European project MenSi (Mentoring for School Improvement – Project Number 1 101004633) funded under the Horizon 2020 programme and coordinated by the EUN (European Schoolnet) Consortium.

The initiative was created with the aim of intervening on mentoring models to support educational and organizational innovation processes in European schools through the use of ICT. MenSI wants to mobilize 120 schools from six European countries (Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy and Portugal) with the aim of establishing communities of practices with the involvement of 4 mentor schools who will have the task of accompanying, through appropriate mentoring models 4 mentee schools in their own territory (selected on a regional basis) in the experimentation of innovative didactic and organizational models enhanced by ICT.

In order to establish this community of practices, Indire has launched a comparative procedure for the selection, on a regional basis, of 4 Mentor schools and 16 Mentee schools as part of the activities envisaged by the MenSI Horizon 2020 project. Four agreements will be stipulated with the Mentor schools, identified through the preparation of regional lists and the outcome of this selection, pursuant to art. 15 of Law 241/1990, to regulate the carrying out, in collaboration with the Institute, of coordination activities at regional and national level of information, training, dissemination and support actions for the training of the identified Mentee schools.

The procedure involves the selection of:

1. 2 Mentor schools among the first cycle schools of the Small Schools network
2. 2 Mentor Schools among the upper secondary schools of the Avanguardie educative network
3. 8 Mentee Schools among the first cycle schools of the Small Schools network
4. 8 Mentee Schools among the upper secondary schools of the Avanguardie educative network
