EITA Award, on 16 September the online event to launch the new European prize for teachers. Follow the live streaming!

EITA – The European Innovative Teaching Award gets underway: on September 16, the European Commission has organized a live online streaming event open to all, to officially launch the initiative.

The award, which has a purely symbolic value, aims to celebrate the achievements of teachers and schools and give visibility to their work, identifying innovative teaching, learning, and collaboration practices between teachers, implemented through the Erasmus+ Programme.

Each country participating in the Programme had the opportunity to point out four Erasmus+ projects. In recent months, the Indire Erasmus+ National Agency has selected the best projects carried out under Key Action 1 and Key Action 2, divided by school level: early childhood education and care; primary education; lower and upper secondary education with general courses; second level secondary education with professional paths (technical/vocational institutes). In selecting the four projects, the Erasmus+ Indire Agency took into account a series of quality indicators related to the methodologies used, the learning environments and the impact on the learning and teaching processes (more details on the evaluation and eligibility criteria of projects are contained in the launch article of the EITA initiative, a European award for innovative teaching).
