Education for sustainable development, circular economy, carbon neutrality. The appointment is in Siena on 29 and 30 September

On 29 and 30 September, at the Medici Fortress of Siena (Piazza Caduti delle Armed Forces), there will be the in-person event “Carbon Neutral ConversActions. Zero impact meetings and stories”, organized by the Carbon Neutrality Territorial Alliance: Siena.

The initiative is intended to be a moment of confrontation with the territory and with those who live there, but also an opportunity to share concrete examples and constructive experiences of sustainability for the future.

During the meetings, which will see the participation of professors from the University of Siena together with scholars of environmental issues and administrators, the themes discussed will be: energy, the contribution of companies to carbon neutrality, sustainable development, circular economy, food waste imprint, solutions for a carbon neutral future, and territorial planning.

On Thursday 30 at 12 pm, the Indire researcher Isabel De Maurissens – who since 2018 has been interested in these issues both through the scuola2030.indire.it web portal and, more recently, with her commitment as Ambassador of the EU Climate Pact – will intervene in the session on “Educating future generations in sustainable development”.
