A new training opportunity offered by the eTwinning community is coming up for nursery school teachers: the Inclusive Early Childhood Education and Care workshop, organized by Brussels’ Central Unit, will take place online from 30 March to 1 April.

Early childhood care is one of the priority themes of European education policies. The main objective of this seminar is to raise nursery school teachers’ awareness of inclusive teaching. In this sense, eTwinning planning can be a valid tool for teachers in making educational and pedagogical methods more innovative and inclusive. The workshop will offer the opportunity to meet colleagues from many countries, will host expert speakers on the topic and will enable great enrichment, in terms of ideas, for future eTwinning projects.

The Italian unit will select 3 teachers from Italian schools, experts in the use of the nursery school platform.

The seminar requires a commitment for three consecutive afternoons from March 30 to April 1, from 3 pm to 6.30 pm.

The selection is open to nursery school teachers who are fluent in English – the working language of the seminar – and who have been enrolled in eTwinning since before 1 January 2021, with intermediate/advanced experience in the use of the platform (previous activity will be considered in terms of participation in projects, quality awards, participation in the community and various training opportunities). In the selection, the motivation indicated in the participation form will be taken into account and priority will be given to those who have obtained at least a national quality label.

Among the applications received by March 4 at 12 pm, the National Unit will select the three Italian teachers who will be invited to participate.

Priority will be given to candidates who have never participated in other European eTwinning events, face to face or online. Only the selected teachers will be contacted, but further candidates may be contacted in the following weeks for possible replacements.
