Registration is now open for the first Sicilian edition of Fair Didacta Italy, the most important trade fair event dedicated to school innovation, which will take place from 20 to 22 October 2022 in the spaces of Sicilia Fiera in Misterbianco in the province of Catania.

The event, which covers an exhibition area of ​​12 thousand square meters with over 75 Italian and foreign exhibitors, is aimed at all levels of education and training: 0–6-year-olds, primary schools, upper and lower secondary schools, vocational education institutes, ITSs, universities, scientific research and professional training institutes, as well as professionals from the school world, companies and professionals in the school supply chains.

The companies will present important innovations in the field of electronics (robotics, automation systems, new generation IWBs, etc.), applications, metaverse, augmented reality and immersive classrooms, as well as many new proposals and innovative solutions in terms of school furniture and digital and editorial content.

The Sicilian edition of Fiera Didacta Italy, which repeats the winning format of the national edition, is organized by Firenze Fiera in collaboration with the Sicilian Region. Partner of the event is Didacta International, the scientific partner is INDIRE.

The exhibition proposes a scientific programme of the highest level, making use of an organizing committee which includes, alongside Firenze Fiera and INDIRE, the Ministry of Education, the Sicilian Region, the Regional School Office, the Metropolitan City of Catania, the Municipality of Catania, the Municipality of Misterbianco, and the universities of Catania, Palermo and Messina.

The programme includes over 75 events, including training and immersive workshops, conferences and seminars designed on various topics, from science and humanity to technology and school architecture, up to artistic-musical space and learning environments. There are different types of activities that may interest head teachers, teachers of infant, primary, upper and lower secondary schools, and the world of research and university.

We remind you that during the Fair, teachers will be able to find information desks to participate in the Erasmus and NOP programmes. The first Sicilian edition is dedicated to the centenary of the birth of the great educator, Mario Lodi, who, inspired by popular pedagogy, put children at the centre of the school, listening to their voices and enhancing their experiences, in order to learn to read the world through their eyes. . It is the “doing together” concept, which Don Lorenzo Milani applied in his school in Barbiana.

To register and participate in the training events of the event, it is necessary to consult the scientific programme on the Didacta Italy website and select the activities concerned, completing the procedure by purchasing the ticket directly on the portal, also using the teacher’s card.
