eTwinning and IVET teachers, a professional training seminar is on the way

From Wednesday 1 to Friday 3 March, the eTwinning Central Unit is organizing the Online Professional Development Workshop for Initial Vocational Education and Training (IVET), an online professional training seminar aimed at teachers from vocational schools.

In addition to traditional educational establishments, the eTwinning community intends to support the work of initial vocational education and training (IVET) institutions from all over Europe by providing resources and allowing the exchange of good practices between teachers.

Among the advantages offered by eTwinning to teachers in this sector, there is the possibility to share teaching and working methodologies with other teachers, enjoy continuous professional development; discover how digital technologies can be integrated into teaching practice in the classroom, motivate pupils to work with other partners on a shared European project.

As far as the IVET sector is concerned, enrolment is open to all the teachers in service in technical and vocational upper secondary education institutions, but also those in service in Vocational Training Centres which provide courses lasting at least 3 years, open to compulsory school students.

On the other hand, teachers who deal with adult education (I or II level, CPIA) or adult training cannot register on the platform.

Applications can be sent by 19 February. Up to a maximum of 50 applications will be accepted, after which it will no longer be possible to register. Once you have filled in the registration form, you will need to wait for confirmation from the eTwinning/INDIRE National Support Service.
