Next 30 and 31 March Epale will be in Milan with an information stand (on both days) and the workshop “Discover Erasmus+ with EPALE. Libraries towards Europe” (only on 31st from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm).
The activity is part of the initiatives of the Convegno delle Stelline (Conference of the Stars) which, since 1995, offers every year a fundamental opportunity for updating and professional growth for all library staff.
Libraries as a place of learning are a strategic sector for the realization of the European priorities of inclusion and active citizenship. They are increasingly important spaces for cultural elaboration, capable of welcoming, guiding and relating citizens to their interests and needs. They can, therefore, become training spaces and tools for welfare design. From this point of view, it is very important for libraries to be able to create synergies and transversal collaborations with third sector agencies and the largest number of public and private, local, national and international Institutions.
The EPALE Workshop, in collaboration with the Erasmus+ INDIRE Agency, intends to encourage the creation of links between the world of libraries and European cooperation in the adult education sector and offer a space for meeting and sharing within the Epale platform. During the meeting, the many training opportunities and partnerships offered by the Erasmus+ programme and the EPALE platform will therefore be illustrated.
The 2023 edition of the Conference is entitled Future visions: Next Generation Library and is ideally inspired by the European project #NextGenerationEU which is not only a recovery plan, but above all a unique opportunity to emerge stronger from the pandemic, transforming our societies into fairer places.
