Cristina Grieco

President of INDIRE since August 2022, Cristina Grieco is a member of the working group of the UNESCO National Commission for the reform of the education/training system and is part of the working group on services for the social inclusion, educational accompaniment and autonomy of pre-adolescents and adolescents, within the Italian Ministry of Education.

She served as regional councillor with responsibility for education, training and employment in the Region of Tuscany in the 10th legislature (2015/2020). During the same period, she chaired the ninth commission (labour, training, education, university, research, innovation) of the Conference of Regions.

During her experience as advisor of the Minister of Education, Patrizio Bianchi (2021/2022), she was in charge of liaising with the regions on issues falling under concurrent legislation: in particular, education and vocational training, Higher Technical Institutes and lifelong learning.
