Gender School – Affrontare la violenza di genere

Gender School – Tackling gender-based violence

The project was born from a collaboration between the Department for Equal Opportunities of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and Indire and has the aim of creating an education programme on equality and respect of gender differences, in order to overcome stereotypes concerning the social role, representation and meaning of being women and men, girls and boys.

The aim of the project is therefore to educate students on gender equality and on the fight against violence, through an articulated combination of didactic communication, education and training, and socio-cultural awareness actions.

Specifically, the project provides for the creation of a national education and training plan on issues concerning the civic and pedagogical fight against gender violence, by pursuing these aims through the training of school staff and teachers and through the inclusion of a gender-based approach in educational and teaching practices for students of different ages throughout the national territory.

Therefore, the project develops through the provision of an educational plan that can represent the basis for the construction of non-discriminatory relationships between boys and girls, men and women, on the basis of training and information paths and actions, by raising awareness among students from a perspective of conflict anticipation and prevention.

The action is divided into phases and involves the development of analysis and research activities. The Institute has also foreseen a training plan and the creation of a dedicated portal.

To enrol for the training, you must register in the online environment https://gomp.iuline.it , by using the registration guide.
