Environmental Education

INDIRE, in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research, is launching a series of activities in the field of environmental education.

The first major initiative was scheduled for 22 April 2016, Earth Day, designated by the Secretary General of the UN to ratify the historic Paris climate agreement. For the occasion, Italy’s Earth Day Village in Villa Borghese in Rome welcomed numerous representatives from institutions, experts, and teachers and students from various schools. The various events included: a presentation of important projects from the Erasmus+ programme in the field of environmental education; a streaming connection with the UN building in New York for the signing of the climate agreement; numerous cultural activities including Erasmus Day with experts who provided all the information necessary for anyone wishing to study abroad.
