The first issue of the Epale Journal on adult learning and continuing education

The first issue of the Epale Journal on adult learning and continuing education is available online. The biannual publication is born out of the collaboration between Epale Italian Unit and the network of Italian universities for Continuing Education” (Ruiap). The periodical was created with different aims, among which, supporting a common discourse on continuing education, spreading good practices among professionals and researchers of the adult education sector, and connecting the training needs of the professionals of the sector to theoretical research carried out by universities. Each issue will contain an overview on academic research focused on a theme selected by Epale, at national level. In order to reach a wider public the periodical will be also available in English.

The first issue “Skills and competences: Innovative learning environments and life skills” is dedicated to the theme of competencies and emphasises the central role of knowledge application in continuing education.
