IUL university plays a leading role at Didacta Fair Italy

IUL online University will play a leading role at Fiera Didacta Italia 2021, which will take place from Tuesday 16 to Friday 19 March in an entirely online environment.

“Also this year – Flaminio Galli, President of IUL University declared – the University will participate in Fiera Didacta with a high-quality training proposal. The goal is to make the skills gained over the years in online training available to teachers and schools of all levels, as these are necessary tools in the school of the future”.

IUL University contributes to enrich Didacta programme with six training events aimed at teachers and head teachers, all valid for the issuing of the certificate of attendance.

The first event organized by the University is scheduled for Tuesday 16 March, from 3 to 5 pm, with the immersive workshop “Citizenship education through nature”, addressed to infant school teachers. The event will be an opportunity to address the topic of outdoor education as an exertion of active citizenship. Also on March 16, from 4 to 5.30 pm, there will be the seminar “Everyone in the field: school and sporting realities in comparison”, during which sport will be discussed as a cultural and economic-social phenomenon of great impact, which affects political decisions regarding the environment, tourism, communication, and education. The meeting is aimed at teachers, especially from sports high schools, who will be able to acquire specific skills to promote the educational value of sport.

On Thursday 18 March, from 4 to 5.30 pm, there will be the seminar for head teachers entitled “The role of Leadership as a lever for innovation”. This will be an opportunity to address issues such as governance and the role of the head teacher as the person who can make the difference, placing himself/herself at the centre of a school management model based on building educational, teaching and organizational skills for improvement. In the late afternoon of Thursday 18th, from 6 to 8 pm, there will be an immersive workshop entitled “Between digital and analogical: using technologies for educational continuity, in the 0-6 age group”. The event, addressed to preschool teachers, aims to bring attention to ideas for concrete activities that are able to link digital tools and analogic materials. It is an opportunity to experiment the opportunities for using technological tools (video, diatape, augmented reality, camera, smartphone) suitable for implementing continuity paths between the two age groups 0-3 and 3-6.

From 4 pm to 5.30 pm on Friday 19 March, it will be the turn of the seminar “Mrs Spelling and the Fumbles! The errors that entertain and teach”, a workshop that aims to illustrate to teachers of the last year of infant school how to guide children to put into practice in the classroom and at home “the Fumble path”, a playful educational interdisciplinary programme. This is made up of videos, exercises, songs, sketches to play, apps and immersive virtual reality experiences. The course also represents an effective first approach to the CLIL methodology in primary schools. The IUL programme ends on Friday 19 from 18.30 to 20 with the seminar “Observation and Workshops for the development of emotional intelligence”, dedicated to socio-emotional development in infant schools. Starting from this theme, a reflection will be proposed on how to observe children in the 0-6 educational path to promote adequate reception of their needs and propose laboratory activities useful for emotional and social development, as well as child autonomy.

All the events grant an attendance certificate.
