#Erasmusdays 2021: the three European days to talk about the Erasmus+ Programme

The #Erasmusdays, the initiative that involves the entire community of the Erasmus+ Programme, is back. An event widespread throughout Europe, from 14 to 16 October, and open to schools, universities, institutes, training institutions and centres for adult education. This year’s edition is even more significant because it coincides with the launch of the new Erasmus + 2021/2027 Programme.

The initiative is in its 5th edition and intends to relaunch the large participation registered in 2020, with over 5,000 events in 82 different countries. It is an event promoted by all Erasmus+ National Agencies with the patronage of the European Commission, and in particular of Mariya Gabriel, EU Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth.

What to propose for the Erasmus days?

Institutes may propose online or face-to-face meetings, exhibitions, concerts, performances, dialogues, stories, video projections, theatre, language tandems, moments of information exchange and peer learning, sports marathons, social contests, welcoming moments, training, videoconferencing, online events etc. The aim is to make known the results of the projects and the aspects of innovation, open-mindedness, culture, and change affecting individuals and organizations linked to Erasmus+. The ErasmusDays are also an opportunity to discover the opportunities of the Programme, discuss other experiences and participate.

The three Italian Erasmus+ National Agencies (Indire, Inapp and the National Youth Agency) invite beneficiaries to organize an Erasmusdays event. Schools, institutions, universities, research centres, organizations, cooperatives, associations, NGOs, vocational training centres, etc. can participate. The Italian eTwinning and Epale Units also participate in the Erasmusdays.

Key issues

The 2021 edition focuses on the cross-cutting priorities of the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 programme: events dedicated to the themes of inclusion, environmental protection, digital transformation and participation in democratic life will be particularly appreciated.

How to participate

  • Organize an Erasmus + event of one or more days within the period 14, 15 and 16 October 2021
  • Register it on the European map of the erasmusdays.eu website by filling out the online form
  • Write a short, clear text with all the useful information
  • Add a photo or a representative image
  • Select relevant sector, type of event and theme
  • If the event derives from or is connected to an Erasmus project, it is possible to insert the summary of the project

The event presentation will be approved and published by the web editorial staff of the Erasmus+ National Agencies within a few days.

The official hashtag throughout Europe is #ERASMUSDAYS: those who have recently lived an Erasmus+ experience or are on the move now are invited to share photos and stories on social media using the hashtag #Erasmusdays right away, and in particular during the 3 dedicated days.
