Creativity and digital tools for the inclusion of young migrants. The KIDS4ALLL project at Didacta Sicily

The KIDS4ALLL project, coordinated by the University of Turin and managed by a wide network of national and international partners including INDIRE, was born in 2021 with the aim of facilitating the inclusion of migrant pupils in education systems by promoting the skills and transversal abilities enabling full participation of all in community life.

The idea behind KIDS4ALLL is to support the right of access to inclusive and high-quality training courses throughout the life span (the three “L’s” in the name of the project are precisely for Lifelong Learning), by developing schemes of peer collaboration in formal (school), non-formal (associations, libraries, youth centres) and informal (social networks and digital environments used daily by children) educational contexts.

KIDS4ALLL AT DIDACTA SICILY

Access to high-quality inclusive training courses for young migrants and rights and opportunities to respond to current social challenges will be discussed at Fair Didacta Italy Sicilian edition (in Misterbianco, in the province of Catania), on Saturday 22 October from 3pm to 4pm as part of the seminar Migrant youths: creativity and digital tools.

Starting from the study and sharing experiences carried out within the KIDS4ALLL project, INDIRE’s researchers, Alessia Rosa, Michela Bongiorno, Sara Mori and Jessica Niewint will reflect on how and which technologies can become training tools in the paths that aim to support the acquisition of transversal skills for social participation: problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration skills, creativity, divergent thinking. The seminar is mainly addressed to upper and lower secondary school teachers.
