The challenges and opportunities of school/work alternation

The Regulation 107/2015, referred to as “The good school” has prompted the synergy between the education and work sectors by introducing mandatory school/work alternation in upper secondary schools.

Indire has been committed to this very actual theme for many years by supporting the MIUR to realise an online platform, and by carrying out many research projects fuelling school/work alternation with innovative models implemented on the national territory.

Good practices of school/work alternation, selected by our institute, will be the focal point of some events of the scientific programme of Fair Didacta (Florence, Fortezza Da Basso, 27-29 September).

The first event, “Didactic methods in school work alternation” (28/09 from 2 to 4 pm) is focused on the most innovative work-based models, which proved to be able to trigger off a real change in didactic methods, and to introduce virtuous contaminations between the education and work sectors.

The second event, “School/work alternation: educational guidance and skills development in high schools, technical schools and vocational education” (29/8  from 4.15 to 6.15 pm) will present new didactical and organisational opportunities, made available by innovation in the system of production and services. Financial literacy, Monetica and design thinking are innovative methods to draw upon, in order to renew the school world.

The Indire’s researcher Carlo Mariani presents the two events at Fair Didacta:

I’m a teacher, how do I enrol?

Online booking to the more than 80 events of Fair Didacta has already opened! If you are a teacher you can ask schools for the recognition of the training and workshop activities as in-service training. Teachers have to book at least 4 workshops, included in the ticket, which will give 1 ECT.

Fair Didacta Italy

Fiera Didacta Italy is the most important international event on school education, scheduled in Fortezza da Basso in Florence from 27 to 29 September. The event is sponsored by the Miur and organised by Florence Fair together with the main institutions of the territory (Tuscany Region, Florence City Council, Florence Chamber of Commerce) and Didacta International, with the support of the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Germany (Itkam) and Florence Convention & Visitors Bureau.  Indire is the scientific partner of Fair Didacta Italy and the organiser of the events.
