Tell me about Erasmus! #ErasmusDays at fair Didacta

The Indire’s national agency Erasmus+ aims for the Europe of opportunities and people at the two-day event “Tell me about Erasmus” (9-10  October) at Fair Didacta Italy.

The starting point of “Tell me about Erasmus” will be the stories of young people, students and teachers who took part in an Erasmus experience. The 9th of October will be entirely dedicated to young people, while the 10th morning will be addressed to an audience of teachers, instructors and trainers.

This national event at Fair Didacta represents also the contribution of the national agency to the Erasmus days, the initiatives that from 9 to 11 October celebrate and tell about Erasmus+ with more than 2.200 events and sharing moments, organised by the  beneficiaries of the programme in more than 30 countries. In Italy the #ErasmusDays will be celebrated with more than 150 events from the north to south of the country.

Wednesday 9 October

The programme opens on Wednesday 9 October with a conference intervention of the Eurydice Italian unit on the theme of citizenship and cooperation through education, and continues by alternating speeches, games, testimonies on the opportunity to discover and live Europe as a mosaic of cultures. Thanks to the presence of three young representatives of different nationalities of Discover EU, there will be the chance to tell this beautiful chance for 18 year olds in a peer-to-peer dialogue with the young people present in the room.

In the presence of the Rector of the University of Perugia, Professor Maurizio Oliviero (since 2012 nominated by the European commission “Erasmus Ambassador for Italy” and since always committed to promoting mobility and internationalisation of higher education), the conference works will continue with a series of contributions on the value of Europe and Erasmus+: hospitality, citizenship, inclusion, themes that will be also at the centre of the interviews of the Erasmus+ agency and the Epale Italian unit to some youths awarded with the title of “role models”, that is leading figures to draw inspiration from.

In the afternoon, we will get into the heart of the opportunities offered by the Erasmus + programme with a presentation by the Indire’s national agency Erasmus+ and stories on school, university, European volunteering and eTwinning, told directly by students and youths.

Thursday 10 October

The event of Thursday 10th October, titled “Erasmus+: opportunities for growth and training in a European dimension” will focus on instructors and trainers, with a wide focus on learning mobility, in particular, on job shadowing at school and in the adult education sector. Also in this case, teachers and head teachers who successfully participated in this kind of project will provide information, advice and example stories.

To conclude, there will be a roundup of mobility and cooperation projects recognised by the national agency as quality projects.

Erasmus+ awaits for you at Fair Didacta also as an information point always open during the three days of the event.
