The procedure to apply for the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) has opened

Higher education institutions recognised in the countries adhering to the Erasmus+ programme can already apply for the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) which will enable their participation in the call 2023.

ECHE is the certificate issued by the European Commission to institutions eligible to participate in the mobility and cooperation actions within Erasmus+.

In Italy, the following institutions can apply for ECHE:

  • Universities
  • Polytechnic institutes
  • Institutions of higher education in art and music (conservatories, fine arts academies, national dance academies, etc.)
  • Graduate/postgraduate schools for language mediators
  • Higher technical institutes

Once obtained, ECHE is valid for the entire duration of the programme.

The chart establishes the core principles to which the institution must conform regarding organisation, mobility and cooperation; identifies the requirements to which the institution accepts to comply to guarantee services and high quality procedures and the communication of reliable and transparent information; finally, it shows the institutional internationalisation and modernisation strategy (EPS).

This year there is a unified procedure to apply for ECHE. The applying institutions must fill in all the sessions of the module, PART B, which can be accessed by using the PIC – Personal Identification Code.

The deadline for applications is 3 May at 5pm. Find all the modules and information at this link.
