On May 19th, the Erasmus Orchestra inaugurates Didacta Italy Fair

On the occasion of the fifth edition of Didacta Italy fair, the Erasmus Orchestra returns to perform in concert on Thursday 19 May at 7 pm in Florence in the Salone de’ Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio.

The event involves over 50 Erasmus students from more than 20 Italian conservatories and musical institutes, directed by Maestro Elio Orciuolo, who will play famous pieces by some of the most important European composers, from Mozart to Bizet, from Puccini to Verdi, from Fauré to Arutiunian.

Established in 2017 on the initiative of the Indire’s Erasmus+ National Agency, the Erasmus Orchestra is a unique ensemble of its kind, made up of students from conservatories and music institutes who have carried out or are carrying out an Erasmus international mobility experience. The initiative aims to promote the values of the Erasmus Generation – open, dynamic, supportive – using music as a metaphor for integration, meeting and development of skills beyond any linguistic, geographical and cultural barrier. Since its inauguration, the concerts of the Erasmus Orchestra have recorded great success with the public and widespread interest at international level.

The concert is organized by the Indire’s Erasmus+ National Agency in collaboration with the “Luigi Cherubini” Conservatory of Music in Florence.
