The call for the selection of Erasmus+ Ambassadors in the Adult Education sector, deadline 6 October

To promote European training and international collaboration opportunities in a more widespread and effective way, the Indire’s Erasmus+ National Agency has created the role of Erasmus+ Ambassadors.

After having implemented the network for the School sector, the public call for proposals for the selection of experts in planning, management of international exchanges and online cooperation who can support the promotion and dissemination of Erasmus+ opportunities in the adult Education sector has opened a few days ago.

With this initiative, the Agency aims to create a network of highly competent experts, able to transmit their knowledge and experiences carried out both in the specific context of the Erasmus+ Programme and within the EPALE community of adult learning professionals, aiming to increase participation in the aforementioned initiatives in the regions where the activities take place and to give a significant input for improving the quality of international cooperation between adult education organizations and to stimulate internationalization in all its forms.

As reported in the call, which will remain open until 6 October, the role of the Ambassadors will be to actively support the Indire’s Erasmus+ Agency and the EPALE Italia Unit during the national online and face-to-face seminars, both in the planning and organization and in the actual carrying out of the activities; it will also be required to produce materials – articles, training content and teaching materials – to feed the EPALE platform, with particular attention to the thematic priorities of Erasmus+ 2021-2027: social inclusion, digital transformation, green transition, strengthening internationalization.

As an agency we strongly believe in the importance of transmitting the value of European experiences through people’s stories – says Sara Pagliai, coordinator of the Indire’s Erasmus+ National Agency -. Direct testimony is a powerful tool to create curiosity and desire to learn for a lifetime, and, we hope, also to stimulate engagement in new international projects. Ambassadors will play a central role in a sector as varied and rich in specificities as that of adult education, to raise awareness of the possibilities even for small peripheral organizations to grow and establish meaningful and rewarding collaborations across borders“.

The ranking of suitable subjects that will emerge from the call will be valid until 31 December 2027, the end of the current seven-year Erasmus+ programming period.

The deadline for applying is set for 6 October 2022, 11.59 pm.
